Our summary of Anuga Foodtec 2022
Anuga Foodtec 2022 was our first trade fair appearance in more than three years, so we were curious about the general impressions and, of course, the feedback at our booth. A certain degree of uncertainty could be felt among many exhibitors as to how busy the trade fair would be against the backdrop of the pandemic.
Our résumé of the fair is really very positive. At our last Anuga Foodtec in 2018, we were represented as a steel manufacture company with a broad profile. In 2022, on the other hand, we were able to present ourselves as experts for stainless steel platforms and mezzanines in plant construction. This was not a spontaneous marketing idea, but reflects our committed strategic orientation. There are an awful lot of steel manufacture companies out there, and many of them might be able to build platforms too. Companies working purely with stainless steel are much more rare. More than that, you will probably not find a 100% stainless steel company like us, which specializes completely in platforms and mezzanines, in the German-speaking area. We are at the forefront when it comes to stainless steel platforms. That was our message at Anuga Foodtec 2022, which was well received by many interested parties.
The investment in our new cutting center underlines this strategic decision. We now manufacture completely independently using the latest state-of-the-art technology with a tube laser, sheet metal lasers and press brake. Every work and material route as well as the decision for the specific machines from Bystronic are planned solely with the aim of manufacturing stainless steel platforms and stages.
In addition to business cards and brochures, stainless steel from Weimar has probably arrived in many corners of the world through the trade fair: we had to carefully ration our bottle opener in buffalo shape in order to be able to serve the market at our trade fair booth until Friday. For us, the end of Anuga Foodtec 2022 marks the end of an intensive innovation phase. We have made the largest investment in the company’s history, implemented it as planned in a difficult year, and are now actively communicating all of this to new partners.
We had some very concrete discussions at the trade fair and are already looking forward to the subsequent contacts and requests in the coming weeks and months!
